A large farm building, hundreds of years-old, set on one of the seven hills of Iguerande. It is in this peaceful Brionnais area, that Lisa Roche and Léo Troisgros spread their wings, on La Colline Du Colombier.

la colline du colombier

On this particular canvas, where the asphalt fades away in favour of a stony village path, from Le Bois Mangé with its bar, to Le Grand Couvert restaurant, passing by Les Cadoles accommodation, to the golden stoned gîtes of the Colombier and the longhouse La Longère tower, Lisa and Léo create and invite, offering board and lodging in spring, summer, autumn, winter… and spring again. It is impossible not to find inspiration in your surrounding. There, you will cease to weigh the pros and cons of a grey day, but, on the contrary, you will express the desire to enjoy every single hour of the seasons, , and take pleasure in gazing at the multiple variations of air and light. Lisa and Léo offer you the chance to relish, contemplate and wonder at all the things happening in nature, from the initial budding to the falling of the leaves. All this sums up Lisa and Léo’s approach.

Le grand couvert

Before being turned into a restaurant, this large building with a roof made of tiles and wood, well-named “ Grand Couvert”, was once used to store the farming equipment and to shelter the animals and the hay. Its colourful walls have been deliberately kept- a mosaic of earth, pebbles bricks and other local materials, all reflecting the spirit of the place, where everything becomes meaningful and demands to be respected. Like these walls, Lisa Roche and Léo Troisgros enjoy bringing people together, and do so in the harmony of what is already there.

Stay

Near to the restaurant Le Grand Couvert and its bar Le Bois Mangé, you will find La Chambre d'à Côté, and a little further on, a longhouse and the tower of Le Colombier, built of golden stone. The whole complex is lovingly preserved. The interior has been remodelled and brought to life reusing materials to create an inviting space to spend time with your family and friends with just the right amount of space and comfort. Below, fanning out on the hillside, there are three unusual lodgings, Les Cadoles, offering all the useful little corners you need to imagine a new life for yourself.

le bois-mangé

At Lisa and Léo's, the bar at Le Bois Mangé is the gateway to La Colline du Colombier as well as the place where guests can drop in to relax, have a drink, a snack at any time, while being assured of a warm welcome. In the speckled light beneath the branches of an oak tree, the soul of the countryside of Iguerande, of Mailly, Fleury la Montagne and beyond permeates the air.
